Kasturba Gandhi Matruniketan, a registered Child Care Institution of the state, was founded by the legendary social activist and freedom fighter Badama Parvati giri in 1974 with the noble intention to take care of orphan children, distressed women and helpless old people. Located in the foot hill of the Gandhmardan at Nrushinghnath, KGMN caters to the need of 90 orphan children. Since its inception KGMN is managed by a group of pious dedicated ladies and has catered to the need of hundreds of needy Women and children’s.
